Peel Avenue

Peel Avenue was the name of my street, in Shoeburyness. I originally composed the reel/hornpipe/march version and then came up with a jig version (it's on the MP3) This is quite a happy little tune and I'm quite proud of it, one of my favourites.

Mr Magpie - Set of 3 Reels

I came up with this when driving around in Essex, England. My area is surrounded by the beautiful birds The Magpie. It is supposed to be very unlucky if you only see one magpie, apparently because magpies are said to mate for life. That is why if you see one on it's own it is a sign of sadness, but if there are two then presumably the magpies at least are happy. There are other explanations too.
